Update Memory Tables

Previous topic Next topic JavaScript is required for the print function Mail us feedback on this topic! Mail us feedback on this topic!

Memory tables are data tables where their contents are read in from physical disk tables and stored in Random Access Memory (RAM).

When you run Move Administer the memory tables are created on the local PC. This not only provides extremely high performance but dramatically cuts down on network traffic, as the data is accessed from the RAM and not the disk.

Administer Software Limited has carefully chosen which data tables have become memory tables. We quantify these as lookup tables (tables where you ‘lookup’ data), and consist of the majority of the Options section.

Please note: On a networked setup, should a user create a new sales code then all other users will not gain access to this sales code until they exit and restart Move Administer, hence why we offer the facility to simply Update Memory Tables at any time.
